4 ½ cups fresh blackberries

1 ½ cups white sugar

1 cup unsalted butter, thinly sliced

1 (15.25 oz.) package of French vanilla cake mix



The oven should be preheated to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Blackberries and sugar should be combined in a bowl. Spread evenly over the bottom of a 9×13-inch glass baking pan after transferring.

Over the berries, evenly distribute the cake mix. Butter slices should cover most of the cake mix as you spread them equally. Never combine or stir.

Bake in a preheated oven for about 45 minutes or until the topping is golden brown. Serve hot.
